Brahmaleena Pujya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati

The Inspiration Behind Dayananda Vidyalaya

The name ‘Dayananda’ honours Pujya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati, whose vision and guidance were instrumental in establishing this institution. Swamiji, a revered spiritual leader and teacher, believed in the transformative power of education.

Recognizing the potential impact of this initiative, Swamiji extended his unwavering support—financially and morally—to Manam Malarattum Trust, enabling the dream of Dayananda Vidyalaya to become a reality. His legacy lives on in the school’s mission to provide holistic education to underprivileged children, nurturing their intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Swamiji’s blessings continue to inspire the school’s ongoing commitment to empowering students and uplifting communities.

About Manam Malarattum Trust and Dayananda Vidyalaya

Our Story and Purpose

Since 2006, Manam Malarattum Trust has been a beacon of hope for rural children in Tirupathur, Tamil Nadu. The Trust began with a simple vision: to provide free tutoring and educational support to children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Today, it has grown into a full-fledged Dayananda Vidyalaya serving 1,035 students from 70 surrounding villages.

Founded and led by Mr. C. Saravanan, a devotee of  Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati of Arsha Vidya Gurukulum, the Trust remains rooted in the belief that education is the key to uplifting communities and breaking cycles of poverty.

Our Impact

The school supports children from families of laborers, farmers, drivers, and sanitation workers—children for whom education represents a rare opportunity for a brighter future. To date, we have awarded scholarships to 1,540 students, providing essentials like uniforms, books, and meals.

Every day, we work to transform lives through holistic education, instilling values, and providing the resources that children need to thrive academically and personally

Scholarships And Support For Socio-economically vulnerable communities

By prioritizing Scholarships for economically disadvantaged Students, we support those who might otherwise be unable to attend School. Success stories, such as Anandhis journey from a thatched-roof village home to earning a State-level Scholarship or Praveen becoming the first Engineer in his family, show the life-changing impact of these Scholarships.

The Manam Malarattum Trust currently supports 1,035 Students (583 Boys and 452 Girls) from Nursery through 12th grade, all from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Within this group, the school provides free education to 437 Students (240 Boys and 197 Girls) from extremely poor families, ensuring that even the most vulnerable children have access to quality education, resources, and a supportive environment.

Our Immediate Funding Need : Restroom Project

Goal : Raise Rs. 15 lakhs by December 2025 for a restroom facility that meets government guidelines for one restroom per 20 students.

Why It Matters: Our current facilities, with just 15 Restrooms for 1,035 Students and 85 Staff & Workers are inadequate. A new facility will provide the hygiene, privacy and sanitation essential for our school community, while also accommodating future growth.

Many Female students face challenges and their education gets disrupted during their menstrual cycles due to the lack of adequate facilities. This new restroom block will create a safe environment for female students ensuring their health, dignity and overall well-being.

Project Status

Construction began with a ground-breaking puja on September 15, 2024 and is expected for completion by December 2025. The new three-story Restroom Block will feature designated floors for young children, Female, and boys, as well as changing and refreshment rooms, to meet the long-term needs of our growing student body.
